Curator
All directions refer to the cabinet viewed from the front. Top and bottom rows have three places each. A relation such as left of compares column numbers, even across rows. Immediately left means the adjacent place in the same row.
| Code | Object |
|---|---|
| A | Arch |
| B | Bell |
| C | Cup |
| D | Disc |
| E | Eye |
| F | Fan |
- A is in a column to the left of B.
- C is in the bottom row.
- D is in the leftmost column.
Conservator
The object codes A-F appear in your partner's inventory. Directly above means the same column in the top row. These notes are all reliable.
- B is in the rightmost column.
- F is immediately to the right of D, in the same row.
- E is directly above F.
Your shared answer.
Place the six objects A-F into a cabinet with two rows and three columns. Use each object once and fill every place. Give the top row, then the bottom row, both left to right.
One hint at a time.
Hint 1
The E/F vertical pair fixes which row contains F. Combine this with the D/F horizontal pair.
Hint 2
F must be in the bottom row, D in bottom-left, F bottom-middle, and E top-middle. Locate C and B next.
Worked answer · reveals the solution
Top row: A E B. Bottom row: D F C. E above F puts F in the bottom row. Because F is immediately right of D and D is leftmost, D and F occupy bottom-left and bottom-middle; E occupies top-middle. C is bottom-row and therefore bottom-right. B is rightmost, so B is top-right. A fills top-left and is indeed left of B. Every object and position is used exactly once.
